Logan Cain crafts music that lives in the spaces between opposites-rhythmic yet atmospheric, intimate yet expansive, electronic yet raw. An internationally recognized composer, pianist, percussionist, recording engineer, and educator, Cain's introspective, melancholic film scores have garnered recognition, including an honorable mention at the Indie Gathering International Film Festival.
A prolific composer in the film and media industry, Cain has scored feature-length films such as The Sound of Your Voice (Frozen Lake Films), Wild Heart (Ruben Lueues), and Sentient (R. Scott McHenry), as well as numerous short films and commercials across the US and abroad. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Composition from the University of Kansas, where he also served as the in-house composer for Ad Astra Radio.
As a performer, Cain has collaborated with acclaimed artists and ensembles, including Andy Akiho, Sandbox Percussion, Charles Peck, and New Morse Code. He frequently performs in settings ranging from orchestras and chamber groups to jazz combos and solo performances. He has recorded as a pianist and percussionist with the University of Kansas Wind Ensemble for the Klavier and Naxos record labels, as well as for numerous film scores, jingles, and radio themes.
Cain's concert music has been performed internationally, with multiple premieres in Germany, Italy, Brazil, and the United States. In addition to his work as a composer, Cain has worked as a recording engineer for artists including Camila Meza, Steven Spooner, and Michael Compitello, as well as brands like Haribo, contributing to projects spanning jazz, classical, and film music.
